Member Profile: Karl Mohr
What club members are proud owners of a 1966 Mustang
Convertible Emberglo and a 1967 Turquoise Coupe?

If you guessed Karl and Dotty Mohr, your right on the
money. Members since 1999, the
Mohr’s hailed from Indianapolis Indiana, but after 23 years in Florida they consider themselves natives.
When they first joined the club they owned two Mustangs, both 1967
coupes, one of which Karl still owns today and with great sentimental
attachment. And as we all know about our own cars they are never really
finished, Karl refers to them as “works in progress” and enjoys working on them
himself.
As Karl reflected on his membership he says that the
MCA 25th Anniversary in 2001
was a highlight for him, however his best Mustang memory involves driving
his 1967 to Nashville for the 40th
Anniversary. “I have a twin
brother, John and he drove from
Indianapolis
for the show. Dave Bishop was a great help in getting the car ready and driving
with me to Nashville.
Taking the ’67 and meeting my brother was special because our father purchased
the car in ‘71 while we were seniors in high school. I told my dad that I wanted
that car someday and after he could no longer drive we had it trucked
to Florida in ‘99. Now I’m trying to upgrade the
condition and make some modifications for safety and performance.”
Karl
and Dotty enjoy spending time with their daughters Melissa and Michelle as well
as Chongo the family dog.
Karl is a Risk Manager for an employee leasing company and
also enjoys football, GO BUCS, as well as Purdue games. Golfing is a favorite
too.
