A member since 1996 Richard and his wife Deborah have been very active club members. Currently as President for 2008,  Richard has served as a board member on several occasions and has been an active participant on the Super Sunday Car Show committee since joining the club.  He not only handles all the trophy details, he also shows two cars and spends the day of show helping to coordinating parking and judging cars. He has also been known to flip a mean burger and roast hot dogs to order.

Richard has also created the position of activities director and has arranged for several events including annual club picnics, bowling, and drag racing outings for members and their families. He has also taken us to pizza joints and Putt-Putt Golf.

Deborah was our newsletter editor for 2.5 years and after a two year leave from the position is back at the helm of “the Pony Express”.  She also assists with a variety of duties for the annual car show including selling raffle tickets,  helping with  show registration, parking lot detail after the show and serving up Pony Dogs for lunch. Deborah also helps Richard with club activities as needed.

Richard currently owns three Mustangs, a 1968 red fastback, which he has restored twice. This car has made two national Mustang publications and has taken numerous awards. Richard prefers to go resto-mod with this car and has a variety of modern upgrades and electronics in this car. Richard is also an avid drag racer and has a 1987 Fox body for this hobby and cuts low 10’s in the quarter mile. The third car in a 1994 coupe is also used for drag racing but this car is street legal and is normally driving by his son-in-law, Carlos.
